These are the specialized tests used to measure the functioning of nerve tracts. Evoked potentials include Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP), Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials (BAEP/ BERA), Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP). These tests measure the integrity of visual pathways, hearing pathways and sensory pathways respectively.

Central conduction time is calculated from these tests which helps in localizing and defining the nature of lesion within the Central Nervous System. Theses tests are mainly utilized in patients of Multiple Sclerosis, children with any type of  hearing impairment, cervical spondylosis, spinal trauma, stroke, head injury etc.
